This is Amira, who was killed by a police officer who is mentioned by name. Without being able to verify that information, I can’t repeat the name to a wider Anglophone audience. But if you read a bit of Arabic, the name can be read at left, just above the sign. The (former) Interior Minister Habib Al Adly is also blamed on the sign. The woman at right is Amira’s mother.

UPDATE: Amira was struck and killed by the police officer’s bullet while standing on a balcony in Alexandria.

Eslam Ra’fat

Eslam was 18 years old, and a resident of the Dar al-Salam neighborhood of Cairo, which is somewhat south of downtown. On Friday, January 28 he was one of those struck by a diplomatic van speeding through the crowd on Qasr al-Aini Street near Tahrir Square. He suffered a fractured skull and died of his injuries.

Ibrahim Abdel-Satar

Ibrahim was 22 years old, and a graduate of the Faculty of Commerce, English section. He was killed on February 1.

Muhamed Gamal Salim

Muhamed lived in Mansoura in the Nile delta, and was killed on Friday, January 28.

Yasser Shoieb

Yasser was a 27-year-old tailor living in Dumyat, on the far northern edge of the delta. A member of no political party or group, he was killed by random gunfire on Friday, January 28.

Mohamed Abdel-Monem Hussien

Mohamed was 20 years old. He was shot in the head and chest on Friday, January 28, at an unknown location.

Eslam Rashad

Eslam was 22 years old. He was shot on Friday, January 28 on Hanoveel Street in Alexandria, and died yesterday at 4 A.M, one week after the shooting.

He was a student last year at the Faculty of Hotels and Tourism. He had 1 sister and 1 brother.

Muhamed Emad Husien

Muhamed was 23 years old. He was protesting in the Gisr al-Suweis area of Cairo on Friday, January 28, when he was struck by bullets in the chest, shoulder, and head.
