Skirmishes

I’ve signed a contract with punctum books for Skirmishes: With Friends, Enemies, Neutrals, and the Dead. (I’ve left out the unborn for now.)

This is the project I’ve been hinting at in recent months– a series of brief responses to 20 or so people. This will include friendly authors with whom I have disagreements, outright vociferous opponents, living authors who work in my intellectual vicinity but have not written about me, and a few dead thinkers about whom I haven’t said much in print.

It will be completed towards spring, and published no doubt within calendar year 2014 if all goes as planned.

The term “skirmishes” is meant to evoke the fact that these will be brief, tactical disputes. There won’t be any 50- or 60-page general assaults in the volume.
