Portuguese translation of “brief SR/OOO tutorial”

June 16, 2013

The most popular post in the history of this blog is the “brief SR/OOO tutorial” of July 23, 2010. (For this reason I decided to include it as the short Chapter 1 of my forthcoming book Bells and Whistles, in press and due out this fall.)

Gabriel Anaya in Brazil has now done a Portuguese translation of the tutorial, which can be found by clicking HERE.

A brief comment about the phrase “SR/OOO.” A number of people, both well-meaning and otherwise, have complained that this compound phrase wrongly lumps SR and OOO together. Quite the contrary! The whole point of the term is to create a distinction between the two terms while also not leaving out people (like Steven Shaviro) who would call themselves Speculative Realists but not Object-Oriented Ontologists. My post itself goes straight to the point in establishing such distinctions.
