what a baseball brawl!

There is some dispute in the sports community over who was at fault here. There are unwritten rules governing baseball retaliation, and both sides have a case as to who broke those rules. (But throwing at someone’s head is never permissible. Major League Baseball history does include one death –Ray Chapman in the 1920’s– and a number of career-ending injuries from balls thrown at the heads of batters.)

It’s also weird/amusing to see all the adult coaches who were players in my youth getting involved in rather hotheaded fashion as coaches (Kirk Gibson, Mark McGwire, Matt Williams, Don Baylor, Charles Nagy).
