new article just published

My article “The Revenge of the Surface: Heidegger, McLuhan, Greenberg” has just been published in the Scandinavian arts journal Paletten. This is my own English translation of the German Vilém Flusser Lecture I gave in early April at the Universität der Künste, Berlin (under the different but less accurate title “Heidegger und McLuhan– Eine imaginäre Begegnung”; Clement Greenberg was in the mix as well). The German will be coming out soon as a booklet, for those who prefer to read the “original language” text.
