on the Adriatic

Pretty scary turbulence over the sea this morning as I flew to Venice from Istanbul, followed by a very bumpy boat ride over the same sea from Venice to Rovinj, Croatia this evening.

But Rovinj is a charmer even in the dark, and this is a nice-looking architecture conference starting tomorrow morning.

Speaking of architecture, I was able to catch a bit of the Venice Biennale today before boarding the boat.
