Wikipedia says:

“Salvador is also known as Brazil’s capital of happiness due to its easygoing population and countless popular outdoor parties, including its street carnival.”

yesterday’s trip to Tijuca National Forest

The forest is located in Rio de Janeiro itself, or at least at the edge of it– roughly behind the famous white Jesus statue. We saw two waterfalls and quite a number of quati, or Brazilian raccoons.
