Bonn update
July 10, 2012
Intense talks by Martin Hägglund yesterday on famously difficult material (Derrida’s Ousia and Gramme, Aristotle, Hegel) followed by a nice dinner down the Rhein, almost at the foot of Siegfried’s castle. (Markus Gabriel says it’s the actual historic castle of Siegfried, and as a native of Bonn he ought to know.) Hägglund then departed for an event in Stockholm.
I’m speaking today, followed by Iain Grant tomorrow. Thursday is devoted to a general discussion of Schelling’s Freedom essay, and Friday to a group boat excursion. And then the Summer School will be finished for the year.
