New APPS on the Cate/Young case
July 7, 2012
The New APPS blog has a post HERE about an issue with a Nietzsche biography.
Julian Young (well know in our circles for his work on Heidegger) is apparently under scrutiny for passages in his Nietzsche biography that closely mirror those of the late Curtis Cate.
Within the post you can find a link to a story in the Chronicle of Higher Education, which I am unable to access while away from my campus.
I won’t comment before being able to read the whole Chronicle story, but thought my readers would be interested in this matter.
[ADDENDUM: What you can read on line is Mark Anderson laying out the situation in late 2011 in the Journal of Nietzsche Studies, HERE.]
