LeBron

That’s the most shocking news of the morning. We were all ready to write him off again as someone who folds under pressure, and then he comes back to score 45 points *at* Boston to force Game 7. An iconic masterpiece.
A few more of those and his reputation could entirely reverse. I still remember the near-universal “Jordan is too selfish to win a championship” meme from the late 1980’s.
It’s always remarkable, and not just in sports, how people can reinvent themselves with just 1 or 2 acts, for better or for worse.
I’m looking forward to watching some of the NBA Finals while in North America next week. (No, I never stay awake until 3 AM in Cairo to watch this stuff, nor do I have any interest in owning a satellite dish. Major time-waster.)
After 12 years in Cairo, I’ve never seen Durant, Westbrook, or Rondo play a game at any level of the sport. They may as well be literary characters to me.
