Interesting points to note:

*Sabbahi (purple) looks small at first glance, but he won Cairo, Alexandria, and Port Said.

*Shafik’s wins are concentrated in the Eastern Delta plus Luxor in the south. In Luxor, desperately dependent on the tourist trade, security will always be a priority. (After the 1997 Luxor massacre of -mostly Swiss and Japanese- tourists, the bodies of the terrorists were brought into the city, and there are reports of the local populace kicking and spitting on the terrorists’ bodies in rage.)
