riots after Al-Masry club suspended

Read HERE about yesterday’s riots in Port Said.

The Al-Masry football club was suspended for 2 seasons, and their stadium closed for 3 seasons, as punishment for the February 1 massacre that left at least 70-some Ahly fans from Cairo dead (and many say it was more like 170).

Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to see some punishment meted out in this case. I’m just a bit stunned at the claim that actual Al-Masry fans were responsible for the massacre. We know who carries out massacres around here.
