Timothy Morton accepts endowed chair at Rice

My colleague and friend Professor Morton has accepted the offer of an endowed chair at Rice University, and will be leaving UC-Davis in the fall. See his announcement HERE.

Tim’s track record of productivity and imaginativeness needs no praise from me. And if you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting him, he’s also among the kindest and least hostile people you’ll ever meet in academia.

Good move by Rice. It sounds like things are happening there.
