Incidentally, I think I forgot to mention that when I saw Meillassoux in Paris in January, he was more enthusiastic about the “speculative realism” label than I’ve ever seen him before. Not sure where Iain Grant is on this, but he’s so affirmative, good-natured, and simply benevolent at heart that I strongly doubt he’s renounced the term.
In any case, speculative realism is doing extremely well, and there’s a reason for that.
