the two lectures of the day

March 1, 2012

These also happened to be lectures #99 and #100 of my career, so there was an added sentimental value to them.

The first of the day was on Heidegger/McLuhan and was held at the University of Copenhagen. Nice discussion there.

In the evening, it was more of an after-dinner speaking gig at the Literaturhaus Café in the center of the city, in the basement of a deconsecrated church. We ate dinner from 7:00-8:00 by candlelight, celebrating the launch of a new graduate student philosophy journal run by the pooled labor and resources of all Danish universities. Then I spoke about speculative realism, more or less, from 8:00-8:30.
