my unofficial sense of what’s going on in Cairo

It looks to me like the student side of the protests went quite well, but that they failed to gain much in the way of general strike support from workers. As far as I know, there has been little to no violence in the past 24 hours, even though I and others were expecting a rather ugly day yesterday.
