a Descola-inspired party game

According to Descola (whose book I just picked up today at L’Écume des pages), there are four possible positions a culture can take on reality:

•totemism
•animism
•analogism
•naturalism

The fun party game is to decide whether each of the original Speculative Realists fits into one of the four categories. I’ve already decided yes, based on a bit of skimming of the book, and have already made up my mind which is which.

Could be the basis for an enlightening gimmick article once I’m done with the book: “An Anthropology of Speculative Realism.”
