walk this morning

Up the Canal St.-Martin, which has always been one of my favorite parts of Paris. Roughly in the northeastern part of the city.

I had never heard of the canal before visiting Paris. But one April evening in 1997, I accidentally discovered it, was immediately charmed, and haven’t stopped going back for long walks ever since.
