Laureano Ralon interviews Nick Srnicek

December 29, 2011

HERE.

One head-scratcher: “In the blogosphere, object-oriented philosophy has come to dominate the discourse with Levi, Graham, Ian Bogost and Tim Morton all being prolific writers.”

I’m not sure what the connection is between the blogosphere and being prolific writers. Most of our prolific writing is not in the blogosphere at all, but in the form of very traditional genres such as academic books and articles.

I only mention this because there was a strange attempt last year to characterize OOO as a movement confined to the blogosphere, when in fact the entire group publishes like crazy on plain old paper– unlike some of the people who criticized us for only working in the blogosphere. (Not by Nick, who’s a good guy.)
