the physical beauty of North Korea

My brief interactions at a distance with North Korean border forces did tend to confirm every stereotype of the country that exists.

However, even from a few hilltop overlooks, it looked like North Korea is a country of staggering natural beauty.

One of my earliest students in Cairo, an Egyptian, had had the stunning experience of growing up in North Korea. Her father was a general, and served for years as Egyptian military attaché to the country. And she confirmed that the natural beauty of the country is astounding, and mostly unspoiled.
