The Institut d’Égypte, home to many valuable books, tragically burned yesterday due to a misplaced molotov cocktail.
In this strange video, you can see it burning in the background, while in the foreground an artist completes a painting of respected cleric Emad Effat, who was killed a couple of days ago in the Parliament protest.
The burning building is right at the entrance to Qasr al-Aini Street (where the current problems are centered), and the artist is standing a bit closer into Tahrir Square.
