Morocco wrap-up

I didn’t even notice until now that I hadn’t posted here for 4 days.

The conference in Casablanca was fine. Yesterday’s final conference session turned out to be ultra-pricey and not relevant to my work, so I went over to Marrakesh for the day.

Marrakesh is nice, but what I enjoyed even more was the chance to see some Moroccan countryside from the train window. On the whole, it is greener than I expected. This portion of Morocco, at least, is far less desertified than Egypt. I suppose the proximity to the Atlantic explains a lot of that.
