Istanbul

Always a charming city at night. On the waterfront, the evening chill had a biting preview of winter in it.

This is, I suppose, my 8th or so time here. But only one of the visits was longer than a couple of days.

The flight from Cairo is less than two hours, and not very expensive. I probably ought to start coming here more often, because it’s always satisfying. It’s one of those “press the reset button” places that enable you to step out of normal life and just forget it for awhile.
