terrible idea still alive

Not only will Michigan State play North Carolina in basketball on board the USS Carl Vinson (the aircraft carrier from which bin Laden’s body was dumped), but President Obama WILL ATTEND AS WELL.

It is a completely tasteless idea, and undermines Obama’s “we don’t spike the football” dignity from the time of the raid. Granted that the world is a better place without bin Laden in it (as I hold), why rub people’s noses in it with a basketball game?

In addition, it seems to me that a college basketball game on board an aircraft carrier is already a stupid idea, regardless of the circumstances. I can’t believe this idea is still alive. I refuse to follow the game in any way.
