There often seems to be a sense of inevitability about massive, high-growth China taking over world leadership. But for a sense of the numerous problems faced by China, you can READ THIS. I’m no economist and cannot vouch for it, but it takes a more sceptical approach the situation of the Chinese.

And it’s happened before. When I was an undergraduate, it was more or less taken for granted that Western countries would be the economic servants of Japan by now. And that wasn’t so long ago, after all.
