Go, Ditka!

“Former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka dismissed the author of a controversial new book on Walter Payton as ‘totally gutless.'”
Never thought I’d be quoting Ditka on this blog. (How Chicago of me.) But it’s moving to see his loyalty to Walter Payton, his now deceased best player.

However, I have a different take on this from people like Ditka and Ron Rivera, who say the book is all lies and seem to think it shouldn’t have been written, published, or read. My view is that there’s no problem with writing, reading, or publishing it, but there is a problem with acting like it’s some sort of huge scandal.
