The Guardian’s piece on neutrinos

In some ways I like this one better than the one in Nature. HERE.

There’s the “extra dimensions” idea that neutrinos are taking a short cut and are only seemingly faster than light. But in some ways I almost prefer the simpler idea mentioned in the article that maybe the speed of neutrinos rather than the speed of light is the upper limit. I’m not sure what all the implications of that would be, however.

It will be interesting to watch this unfold. Physics is one field that has become quite skilled at explaining its results fairly quickly and clearly to the wider public.
