Arcade picks up Morton’s thought on the paintings

I missed this on Tim’s blog, apparently. But yes, Prudence Whittlesey is doing a series of watercolors of philosophers, and recently she added me, Tim, Jane Bennett, and Levi Bryant to the mix.

The first thing Prudence does is show up for your lecture(s) and produce a number of incredibly fast watercolors, with a number of phrases from your lecture surrounding your head.

On this basis, there is a longer studio visit. It requires a couple of hours of very intense focus/eye contact, and this is more draining than it sounds.
