New York is my new favorite world city after this trip. For me, it’s all the pluses of Paris or London but without feeling like a foreigner.

And actually, I like it better than Paris or London anyway, because even though I’m long since on the early bird daily schedule, I am deeply committed in principle to the 24-hour city concept. You can’t ride the subway in Paris or London at 3 AM, but you can do it in New York.
