Ahmed Ezz sentence

10 years in prison and an $11 million fine for the former Egyptian steel baron, on corruption charges, HERE. I never followed his past activities very closely, but he did seem to be generally loathed among the Egyptians I know. The most frequent complaint was that he leveraged his political connections to command near-monopoly prices on steel in the country, thereby driving up the costs of pretty much everything. (Egyptian has had an inflation problem more or less the entire time I’ve been there.)
