that was worth it

In some ways it’s a pain to fly London-Cairo and then Cairo-London-New York just 16 hours apart, but at least I was able to attend the typically nice garden party at President Anderson’s house for the new faculty (who are exceptionally nice this year).

Still, an extra night’s sleep in London would have been nice too. The Heathrow Holiday Inn was very Ballardian in terms of location, but it was ultra-comfortable and the sleep there was good. Thanks to SEP for that choice on the last night.
