middle of nowhere
September 3, 2011
There were faulty rail signals, and now we’re stuck in the middle of nowhere, somewhere in between Peterborough and London.
Wherever we are, it’s dark as can be, with only a few farmhouses on the horizon. And the moon, like a polished scimitar, has an expressionist Pierrot Lunaire style to it.
Supposedly there are several other trains nearby, stuck like us, but they can’t be seen.
