last promotion

My final promotion (to Full Professor) went into effect September 1, which given the time difference was 11 PM on August 31 in York. I was toasted by the conference youngsters in the Art Bar pub. Very nice of them.

Great to be finished with that quarter century of degrees and promotions. Plenty of problems ahead, as ever, but not these particular problems.
