This is fascinating. It’s less reflective than black acrylic paint, and absorbs 99% of the light from its sun that hits it.

However, it does emit a faint red glow, like a burning goal.

This seems to be a very special era for astronomy, perhaps comparable to 1900 through 1930 for physics. The discoveries are cascading by the week.
