As concerns the first comment in the thread at bottom, though I sometimes tire of explaining why my concepts of substance and essence do not carry the baggage of the traditional versions of these concepts, but clearly that’s going to be a very lengthy process. Many people are so used to reacting negatively to these terms that they don’t see that there’s even worse baggage associated with “process.” The Zeitgeist still thinks the big enemy is old-fashioned rigid individuals, and thinks that change and dynamism is the way out of the trap. Instead, these simply set a new and worse trap. But I’ve said this before and won’t be able to add any new twists to it after a day like today.

Anyway, read and enjoy the post. The people over there are thoughtful and sincere, and Adam writes extremely well.
