This makes it sound like it was just a random, anonymous 61-year-old woman, which was impressive enough.

It made me remember Diana Nyad, who was a celebrity for Cuba-U.S. swims in my childhood.

What the headline didn’t tell me was that this is Diana Nyad! A retro-1970’s special. I’m sorry she didn’t make it, but it was a nice try.
