A St. John’s faculty member once told me that a certain student had been nominated for one of the annual awards, and another faculty member had objected, on the grounds that the student had only spoken four words all year in seminar. Another faculty member, a witty Scotsman, replied: “What were the four words– ‘I Am The Way’?”
