Syrian protests continue

August 5, 2011

HERE.

It takes incredible bravery to march against the regime in Syria, a country that in 1982 simply flattened an entire neighborhood of Hama to kill as many Muslim Brotherhood members as it could, killing probably tens of thousands in the process.

My hat is off to the Syrians. And it’s starting to look like they have a real chance. I never would have thought so.

And from a different article, kudos to the Turks for saying this:

“Turkey’s Deputy Prime Minister Arinc Bulent said on Wednesday that an attack by Syrian forces on their own citizens in the city of Hama was an ‘atrocity’ and a government that sanctioned such brutality could not be called a friend.”
