Lovecraft question from a reader

“hi does Lovecraft ever even specify that it’s the *head at all? Why not the head of a dragon, the legs of an octopus?”

Good question. I think the answer is yes, bit have no specific passage in mind at the moment. I believe there’s at least one passage about tentacles on the head, though.

In any case, what scared the narrator was not the conjunction of octopus, dragon, and human elements, but “the general outline of the whole.”

Now that’s what I call scary!
