Count me among those who assumed there must have been something to the charges; I never imagined the New York police could be naive enough to fall for a scam. But it sounds like there may have been one here after all.

If that happens, does Strauss-Kahn resurface as a political juggernaut? Maybe so.

[ADDENDUM: However, there’s still the TRISTANE BANON case from his past. No criminal charges pending there that I know of –too old a case– but this story doesn’t put him in a good light at all. That said, it’s looking like there’s at least a decent chance that he was a victim of some sort in the New York case. I suppose we’ll hear more soon.]
