the nearly unphotographable kitten
May 27, 2011
She simply moves too much now, too quickly. And whenever I aim the camera at her she tries to attack it, generating even more motion. At this stage of development I just can’t get many shots of her that aren’t blurry.
At the risk of sounding too saccharine, Tamanya has to be the softest and cuddliest kitten I’ve ever met. Her only drawback remains that her favorite activity, other than eating (which I’m very happy with due to her continued small size), is biting my hands. She will also still bite my face if I let her get close, so I don’t.
With strangers, however, she is shy and friendly. Another friend came over to meet her this afternoon, and Tamanya was an angel and didn’t bite once. But as soon as my friend left, I was under assault again.
Those multi-vitamins that the vet convinced me to mix with her food seem to be working. She’s even more energetic than before, and even softer and apparently healthier.
But by “soft” I’m only referring to soft fur. In terms of personality, she’s a tough one– an unnaturally skilled fighter, wrestler, and biter.
Another skill she picked up suddenly a few days ago… Instead of following me around the house everywhere, wasting much energy, she’s now begun to predict the likely next location where I will spend a long period of time. And she goes there and patiently waits for me to show up. Sometimes she’s wrong about where I intend to go next, but it’s uncanny how often she’s right. There must be many subtle patterns to the order in which we do things, and to the physical cues we give regarding that order, to such a degree that even tiny animals less than 2 months old can pick up on them.
an inexplicably written story

“Mubarak knew of ‘every bullet fired,’ says Omar Suleiman: Al-Akhbar”
The whole story is a not-so-surprising account of how Suleiman told prosecutors that Mubarak was aware of all the live ammunition used against protestors on a day-by-day basis.
However, not once is anything said about the fact that Suleiman himself therefore also knew about every bullet fired.
This man is teflon. Not only is he never arrested, but I rarely even here protestors demand his arrest. Talk about “getting away with” stuff.
why would they announce this?

A CIA forensics team will be allowed back into the bin Laden compound to look for hidden items. HERE.
“Hey everyone, back off and let the CIA team in!”
end of the line for the Bulls

Miami 83 – Chicago 80
Disappointing. Evil Miami advances to face Dallas.
It was a fine season for the Bulls, but they could use more experience and also more of a scoring 2-guard to be paired with Rose… Someone, unfortunately, just like Miami’s Dwyane Wade.
No, they don’t really need to add anyone that good. But let’s see if they can come up with someone before next season. If there is a season, I mean. Labor-management issues are looming just as for the NFL.
