Heidegger in America

April 2, 2011

Heidegger in America, by Martin Woessner (Cambridge University Press, 2010).

I met Woessner in Italy in 2004 while he was working on this book. Then I’d lost track of the project, though occasionally I thought of asking our mutual friend what had ever become of it, though in the end I always neglected to do so.

Now it’s out, and I’ll look forward to reading it. Unfortunately, it’s still only available as a $74 hardcover.

proofs just corrected

April 2, 2011

For my 5-page review of Jane Bennett’s Vibrant Matter, to appear in new formations #71.

The stated deadline for the corrections was April 6, so from that fact I would estimate, say, late April/early May as the publication date.

My mistake for not hat-tipping KNOWLEDGE ECOLOGY as the source of that poster. (The blogger didn’t complain, I’m simply realizing now that I forgot to link to this page in my rush to get to an all-day meeting this morning. The University Senate was debating the new Faculty Handbook on this fine Saturday. I enjoy this university policy work more than I ever thought I would.)

Knowledge Ecology summarizes the conference papers a bit. Sorry to miss this conference.

At the California Institute of Integral Studies, in San Francisco.
