on the “no” side

This part of the debate from a Christian gentleman who tends to be extremely blunt in all matters, but it sheds some light on what many Egyptians are worried about:

“Undoubtedly this is a healthy discussion and regardless of the outcome, one thing very clear from ALL talk shows and interviews, it is only religious extremist groups that support the proposed constitutional changes whereas all other political parties, intellectuals, and moderates strongly oppose these incomplete changes. It certainly does not make any sense to amend a constitution that has been cancelled!! we need a NEW constitution.”
