Chicago Bulls
March 17, 2011
I’ll indulge myself in a sports post here, for the first time following a long season of serious world events.
For the first time since the Jordan era, the Bulls are #1 in the East late in the season. Hard to believe that they’re ahead of Boston and of superstar-laden Miami. [ADDENDUM: They’re now tied with Boston. My mistake.] I thought they were still a couple of years away from ripeness, but Derrick Rose is looking like the best player in the NBA at the moment.
It’s been a long, long road back to the top for the Bulls, a team it was a joy to follow throughout the 1990’s.
