Westerwelle criticized for “apocalypse” remark
March 15, 2011
Some people I’m watching on the BBC feed are calling Guido Westerwelle, the German Foreign Minister, irresponsible for calling the Japanese nuclear situation an “apocalypse.” I’ll leave the debate to those with a better technical gasp of the differences between Three Mile Island, Chernobyl, and Fukushima. All I know is that the Japanese situation is quite alarming, especially with aftershocks continuing ever 60-90 seconds in some parts of Japan.
