From a reader in England, in response to my question as to what the UK was thinking with that bizarre unannounced SAS mission into rebel-held Libyan territory:

Well, we have a new Tory/Lib Dem government. The Tories have been out of power since 1997, and the Lib Dems, well, no one can remember, so I guess they thought things are still done like back in the Cold War days… Totally embarrassing… As you might tell, I’m not a big fan of this government…”
