security situation still a bit shaky

A colleague’s 15-year-old son (she and her son are both Egyptian) was riding in a taxi tonight from Mohandiseen to Zamalek, and the driver pulled a knife and robbed him.

This sort of thing was very rare in Cairo in the past, so there are definitely a few people out there taking advantage of how certain things can fall through the cracks at a time like this.
