Egypt Presidential Poll

March 3, 2011

You can’t believe how weird it is to see something like this in Ahram Online. An Egyptian Presidential poll? It’s still early, but here are the results of their unscientific online poll:

Mohamed El-Baradei (37.4 %)
Amr Moussa (28.74 %)
Other (14.57 %)
Hisham El-Bastawissy (8.27 %)
Ayman Nour (5.12 %)
Won’t vote (4.33 %)
Hamdin Sabahi (1.57 %)

The conventional wisdom was that ElBaradei’s star had fallen somewhat during the revolution, but he still has a certain amount of robust public support. Ayman Nour has much less than I expected.

But I suspect the real winner could be someone not even on the list at the moment.
