It really is odd that you can’t find even one shared philosophical hero among the original group of four from Goldsmiths, yet all of us were independently fans of Lovecraft. And it wasn’t just a matter of a shared childhood enthusiasm (I wasn’t reading Lovecraft until well into my 30’s anyway). We all took him very seriously, if for different reasons in each case.
