UN statement

I’m glad I wasn’t involved with this:

2023: US secretary of state Hillary Clinton speaks on Libya: “We have to get the international community together – to that end we joined a very strong UN security council statement yesterday. We are joining the rest of the world in sending a message to the Libyan government that it will be held accountable.”

Glad I wasn’t involved because it would have given me a profound sense of futility and wasted time.

“Strong statements” are not relevant at this stage. It is now a brutal struggle to the death between Qaddafi and his opponents. How can there be a truce or even ceasefire between these two groups?
